If materials are not found in the Library catalog, Wasatch County Library patrons are able to borrow them from other libraries throughout the country. A request form is available to fill out on-line or at the circulation desk. There is a postal fee per item which is collected when the item is picked up. It takes approximately two-three weeks to obtain materials.
The lending library determines the length of check out. This includes time for mailing in both directions. The due date indicates when the materials should be back to the lending library. Renewals are at the discretion of the lending library and should be requested five days prior to the due date. Fines are comparable to those of Wasatch County Library, unless otherwise determined by the lending library.
Books are considered lost after 30 days past the due date and the patron will be responsible for the cost of the material and a $10.00 service fee which will be applied to the patrons account.
Interlibrary Loan service will be suspended for any patron who abuses the privilege.
Material which ordinarily circulates to Wasatch County Library patrons may be sent out on Interlibrary Loan. The decision to loan material is at the discretion of the Wasatch County Library. Wasatch County Library will absorb all lending fees. If materials are not returned 30 days after the due date the borrowing library is subject to a $10.00 service fee and replacement cost per item. Wasatch County Library will loan items for 4 weeks. Renewals will be for an additional 4 week period unless the item is requested within Wasatch County.
